Request non-BPA lined cans

Concerned about the possible health affects of BPA (bisphenol A,)we the undersigned are requesting that you cease packaging your products in cans lined with BPA containing materials, or at least offer us, the consumers, a choice of packaging. Through our research we understand, from the Can Manufacturers Institute,that most cans contain these materials. Since there are products already on the shelves packaged in containers such as the Tetra-Pak or Tetra-Brik, we are prepared to support these manufacturers in the interest of our own health and that of our children. We are aware that the plastics industry and others (in whose interest the continued production of BPA containing liners lays)say that their research shows it to be safe. However, we have heard the same reassurances over the years about products and procedures which proved not to be safe, as their industries stated, but dangerous as the scientific research showed.
